That is just amazing! The generations of powerhouse women connected through time and through the womb.

How many generations of women did you get to meet in your family?

"I hope I don't have any tears" They were some of "I hope I don't have any tears"
They were some of the first words I spoke seconds after the birth of my daughter last year.
Having skin to skin was just the best, oxytocin was flowing and the contractions were all over! I was exhausted though and still high from the gas & air as you can see 🤣
At the end Tyrone says "You did really well" 💪🏾 Such an amazing experience!
This was the start of my final journey through motherhood and I'm so glad my mum @lorraineshall caught it for me.
I didn't have any tears by the way 🙌🏾
What were your first words after giving birth??
Some women will give birth via Caesarean section ( Some women will give birth via Caesarean section (c-section) and this can be planned or unplanned. If you have a c-section planned, it’s much easier to prepare for it but in the event of an unplanned c-section, it’s always good to know what to expect just in case.

The more I watch this, the more I see and the more I love it!! ⁣⁣💪🏽❤️
⁣⁣
I love the way that birth just happens! Our bodies will just know what to do if we let them. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I love the way the Midwife is not phased by this at all!! She is simultaneously calm, reassuring and protective to the woman and her birth environment- something midwives do in all birth environments. (Although I’m sure a million scenarios are running through her mind!) ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Then I love the Midwife’s body language! The way that the midwife uses her body (probably instinctively) to shield the woman from the police officers, even though they are offering to be helpful. The midwife is not only protecting the birth environment but the woman’s dignity and privacy here also. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Then I love the way the women says “that was amazing!!!” YES!!! It is amazing and so are you!! ⁣⁣

If your baby is in a breech position at 36 weeks, If your baby is in a breech position at 36 weeks, you may be offered an external cephalic version (ECV). This is when an obstetrician, tries to turn the baby into a head-down position by applying pressure on your abdomen. It can be a bit uncomfortable but around 50% of breech babies can be turned using ECV, allowing a vaginal birth. When an ecv has taken place, you will be monitored closely for a while afterwards to ensure all is well with the baby. As with many interventions there are risks associated with an ecv. Approximately 1 in 200 babies will require delivery by C-section straight after an ecv due to complications such as bleeding from the placenta which may cause fetal distress. Sometimes a baby may also flip back into the breech position. .
Some women may want to discuss rhe possibility of having a breech vaginal birth rather than having an ecv. You can discuss this with your obstetrician. There are some scenarios where a breech vaginal birth would not be recommended and those include:
Having a low lying placenta
If the baby's head is tilted too far back making the deluevey of the head difficult
If the baby is a 'footling breech' feet first rather that bum first
If you have preeclampsia
For some women, a planned C-section is the best option for them.
