Birth Sensory® – A Training Programme For Birthworkers and Maternal Health professionals
Birth Sensory® is a groundbreaking training programme for midwives, doulas, educators, and maternal health professionals who want to go beyond traditional birth prep models. It introduces a science-backed, nervous-system-informed approach that helps birthing people feel safe, supported, and grounded — not just calm on the surface.
This framework equips professionals to work with all of the senses — sound, touch, temperature, movement, lighting, and more — in a way that supports labour progress, pain coping, and emotional regulation. You’ll learn how sensory input affects both the birthing person and the baby, and how to co-create environments that honour instinct, trauma history, neurodiversity, and individual needs. Birth Sensory® is not a method to be followed — it’s a flexible toolkit that empowers you to meet each client exactly where they are.
