*** Caesarean scar numbness ***

*** Caesarean scar numbness ***

During a Caesarean birth, many nerves are transected (cut through) meaning a loss of sensation in that area. For many women this can go on for months. Although in some cases, the sensation returns over time, a large proportion of women will experience small sections of their lower abdomen that will forever be numb to touch.

It's a really strange feeling and weirdly can sometimes feel itchy, even though the area is numb if that makes any sense? That's the only way I can describe it!

If you have had a Caesarean birth, did you feel numbness afterwards? If so did it ever go away? . . . #pregnacy #bellybirth #caesareanawarenessmonth #postpartum
