Do you ever feel like you've done nothing all day?

Do you ever feel like you've done nothing all day?

Perhaps your baby has been stuck to you like glue for hours and you've been simultaneously been trying to prevent your toddler from drawing on the walls, or spreading your foundation all over the mirror and carpet.

You've managed to unload the dishwasher and put a load of washing on, but then your toddler has another screaming fit because you won't let them eat your mascara. Just after that, your baby has a beautiful poo explosion that reaches their neck and you are caught up with changing them, having to briefly ignore your toddler, who is now writhing around the floor like a worm screaming blue murder.

Toddler has lunch then nap but now baby needs to be fed. Then it's 3pm, time to pick up the older child from school with the babies in tow. Back home to sort out snacks for your older child and toddler before thinking about what to make for dinner. Older child has homework to do before dinner, bath and bed for them and your toddler.

Baby isn't interested in any kind of bedtime as they are currently going through cluster feeding and the witching hour. You slump on the sofa at 8pm with a screaming baby thinking "I've done absolutely NOTHING today"

What do you see as productive? Is it running errands? Doing housework? Making money? I bet the nursery/day Care worker who looks after children for just 8 hours per day thinks they are being productive.

We need to go easier on ourselves as parents and know that right now, we are out here doing the most 💕
