I've posted a few times about my baby girl who has sufferred with severe full body eczema since she was around 6 weeks old. She would itch so much that she pulled all of her thick hair out (she was losing hair anyway which is normal but the pulling just accelerated the process) Anyway since then we have used a variety of creams, were prescribed steroids which helped temporarily when the flare up was bad but ultimately nothing was helping her heal. I knew it must be being caused by something in my breastmilk and had to wait until she was 6 months old to find out. We had an allergy test 2 weeks ago and she showed a sensitivity to wheat, egg and milk. The consultant recommended stopping breastfeeding and going onto amino acid based formula but thats not really an option for us right now - she just loves the boob too much! At the same time I didnt want to cause her anymore discomfort so the only thing to do was to completely cut all of those allergens from my diet. I was told it would take 4 weeks to see a difference..... Guess what, her eczema cleared up TOTALLY within 5 days! The diet isn't easy, I feel like I cant eat anything but its worth it. No more cracked skin, itching, bleeding. We have also settled on our 2 favourite creams/emollients for her skin - soothing relief cream from @aveenobabyukire and organic body body from @naturalasamother Its essential that we keep her skin moisturised still as the itching is caused through dryness. The improvement is incredible though and I now have one happy little girl whose hair is even starting to grow back ❤❤ . . . . . . #eczema #skincare #babygirl #babyskin #happy #love #pink
