Some babies prefer to sit bottom first, or feet/foot first 😁 This is not usually an issue until you reach around 35 weeks. If your midwife or doctor thinks that your baby is still breech at 36 weeks then you should a have scan to confirm this. If the scan shows that your baby is breech, the midwife or doctor will talk to you about your options for giving birth safely. . They will likely offer you an external cephalic version (ecv) where there doctor manually rotates the baby around into a head down position. If this does not work, or if you choose not to have one, they will discuss your birth options. . Babies can be born breech vaginally with a doctor or midiwfe who is skilled and experienced in doing so as breech births are different to cephalic or head down births. Alternatively, some women opt to have a c-section. Many women have turned to complementary therapies to turn a breech baby by going for a therapy called moxibustion. There are some exercises that can be done to help get a breech into a better position.
