Well you all probably know by now that's today marks the International Day of the Midwife

Well you all probably know by now that's today marks the International Day of the Midwife. I've seen and been tagged in lots of post supporting this years theme: Invest in midwives.

A midwife's job isn't just to catch babies but to educate, inform, support and counsel women & birthing people throughout pregnancy and afterwards. Working in the NHS had its challenges & I hope that moving forward, midwives are given more recognition for their hard work and dedication, regardless of where they work.

I am delighted to have been awarded the 2021 Iolanthe Midwives Award today. What a perfect day to be an award winner!
