What are the earliest pregnancy symptoms?

What are the earliest pregnancy symptoms? Can you get signs before you've even missed a period? Can you get signs and still have a negative test initially? Answer is yes to both.
I've know for a few of my pregnancies that I was pregnant before I tested and before I missed a period. Here are a collection of things I (and many others) have experienced:
Food tasting odd or strange taste in the mouth
Breast and/or nipple tenderness, different to that of an impending menstrual period
Lower adominal cramping like menstrual cramps but on and off throughout the day for around 4-5 days before a missed period
Increase in frequency of urination
Headaches
Nausea
Spotting
Weird dreams
General feeling of just 'knowing'
When the egg is fertilised, it takes around 7-10 days to travel down the fallopian tube to implant in the uterus, before it starts signalling the release of the pregnancy hormones. It's these hormonal changes that cause symptoms, hence why you won't get any signs of pregnancy in the first few days after sex. When you are pregnant, you may get a positive test before your period is due or many days after, all depends on those hormone (hcg) levels and everyone is different!
