Who remembers this one?

Who remembers this one? Leg cramps are painful at any time, but during pregnancy, they seem to be 10 x worse and happen more often, especially at night!
Leg cramps are literally the muscle contracting and not relaxing. It commonly happens to the calf muscle. Sometimes, you can see the muscle change shape! No one really knows for sure why they happen more often in pregnancy, but there have been some theories, including lack of calcium or magnesium, changes in maternal circulation, and fatigue/ dehydration.
If you have leg cramps, try pulling your toes up toward your ankle until it subsides. If you can't manage it yourself, get your partner to help you. Sometimes, a good foot massage helps too. Keep hydrated
I had them terribly in my last pregnancy to the point when I would leap out of bed in the middle of the night and put my feet on the wall!
Did you suffer with leg cramps and if so, did you find anything that helped?
