Gush or trickle?

Gush or trickle? What is it really like when your waters break? Also called the rupture of membranes, it varies really from woman to woman as to how they go! . It depends on how much water is in front of the baby's head when your waters break. If the head is really low and tight against your cervix, you might just feel a trickle. If the head is higher up and lots of water is in front, you may just feel a gush! Your waters may or may not break before you go into labour but more times than not, they go once contractions have already started. . You will probably notice that once they go, you will continue to leak until the birth so make sure you have some super absorbant pads handy!! . Sometimes your waters don't break at all and they are born in the sac. Some women have reported that when the membranes are intact, the labour is actually easier to cope with! Historically babies born in the sac (en caul) were thought of as being lucky 😁 . How did your waters go?
