I posted sometime ago about newborn hairloss and how it's actually normal for a baby's hair to fall out after birth due to the changes in hormones in the neonatal period. . Some babies wont be noticable as they only shed a few hairs and some will go completely bald like my baby did! It was exacerbated by the fact she has eczema so she tugged at her hair quite a bit. It took around 6 weeks for her to go from having a full head of hair at 3 months old to nothing at all. . I remember lots of comments from people on here saying it wasn't normal etc but being a mother of 5 and understanding baby hairloss, I had no concerns at all. It started growing back a few months ago and now she has just turned 1 year old in January, I can just about tie it up into bunches 😍 Throughout the regrowth phase I just made sure her scalp was moisturised with coconut oil and massaged it daily . It's a good thing it's grown back because its like -6 degrees right now, too cold to be going out with no hair! . . . . . . . . . #babyhair #hairloss #eczema #babyeczema #hairgrowth #blackhair #blackbabyhair #afrohair #newbornhair #naturalhair
