I set up this page to share as much evidence based information as possible to women so that they can enrich themselves with knowledge to be able to take charge of their own pregnancies in conjunction with their ob or midwife. I have noticed though that there have been a few comments on previous posts which seem very anti what I am doing so I wanted to set the record straight. . I am not anti C-section - I have had one I am not anti induction - I have had 3 I am not anti ob - all of my pregnancies have been high risk under obstetric care. All of my births have been facilitated with a fantastic team with ME making an informed decision every time which includes 2 vbacs (vaginal births after csection) . I am pro informed choice. . I am anti coercing women or forcing them to have interventions that they do not want or are not neccessary to suit the practitioner. . Modern medicine is fantastic and really does save lives. It is sometimes over used in obstetrics however. There was a comment which I was a little bit taken aback by on my previous post: "So what if a woman ends up with a c-section, a healthy baby is all that matters" A healthy baby is absolutely a priority for most women but women matter too. Their physical and mental wellbeing is paramount in being able to care effectively for their newborns, lets not forget that 💕 P.s this is a pic of me in Jan about 1 hour before giving birth at 38 weeks to my 5th baby after being induced. It was super intense and super quick but she was soooo worth it 😁 📷 @emily_clarkphotography
