Let's stop writing people off and assuming their second birth will replicate their first. Women deserve better. We all deserve evidence based practice and trauma informed care where applicable.

Let's start with really understanding the differences in real and synthetic oxytocin, and how it affects labour. Then we can really understand why an induced labour cannot be compared to a spontaneous one.

This post is not designed to be a discussion about the need for inductions as they serve a purpose, and many people will have straightforward, uneventful ones. Myself included.

This post is to highlight the fact that in this day and age, coercion and ill truths continue.
