"Our Miko is here ♥️

"Our Miko is here ♥️ She’s one week old today and I already feel like time is running way to fast. She’s tiny, mighty, beautiful, magical and smells of joy. Pregnancy of course had its ups and downs, but I already miss it having her this close at all times. Her birth was the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced.. and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I went through magical 27 hours of labour, mainly amazing and also scary at times, but ended in the perfect experience because it was all on my terms. I want to say a huge thank you to my independent midwife (whom I hired in addition to NHS, not instead) @midwifemarley 🫶🏼 because she is the reason I felt empowered and informed at all moments of this wild ride, knew my options and knew my rights. Thank you for helping me and guiding me and showing me that I can stand my ground to have the positive experience I want. We truly love you Marley and we’ll miss you so much ❤️♥️❤️

Also people I need to thank, and would highly recommend following if you’re pregnant or planning to be: @thenakeddoula Thank you Emma for the education, positivity and techniques! ♥️ @kemibirthjoyjohnson for being the hurricane every mama needs and teaching about birth rights and empowering us all ♥️ @edgwaremidwives for taking the best care of us ever, and being a great example for why the NHS is amazing.
