It sounds like a lot but really isn't!

By Marley Henry · 12 August 2020

It sounds like a lot but really isn't! The world health organisation WHO recommend pregnant women consume around 1.5 - 2 litres of water a day (7/8 cups) and around 3 litres (12 cups) when breastfeeding in the postpartum period. Keeping yourself hydrated keeps you clear headed, reduces the risk of headaches and generally makes you feel good. If you are dehydrated you may find that you get lots of braxton hicks contractions and sometimes fetal movements can be affected so it's important to remain hydrated. . . . . . . . . . . . #water #midwife #midwifery #midwifelife #pregnancy #thirdtrimester #obstetrics #pregnant #baby #pregnancytips #birth #diet #hydrate
